The Vineyard
The main wines are Serto, Altenubi, and Halis, respectively Sangiovese, Ciliegiolo, and Canaiolo Bianco. Three impressive Tuscan “in purezza”, or monovarietals, grown in three individual vineyards.
Three names that on the soft white paper-enveloped bottles seem to gaze down from the clouds onto their respective vineyards. Colline Albelle Inbianco, a pure Vermentino, and Colline Albelle Inrosso, 100% Merlot, and Nebe, a late harvest of Petit Manseng complete the collection.
Riparbella
Riparbella, an ancient medieval village on the hills above Bolgheri is one of the just-emerging locales that is winning attention for the quality and distinctive personality of its wines.
Lightly anthropized, it boasts a still preserved nature that over the last decades has assumed a model of organic and natural viticulture.
Colline Albelle, a unique Terroir
This unique location has inspired us, a team of international dreamers, shot through with determination and passion for a simple goal – to make exceptional wines that capture the wild beauty of the land and the spirit of the Tuscan coast.
The well-drained sandy soils, rich in pebble content, are the common thread in the high quality winemaking potential here.
Surroundings
The well-drained sandy soils, rich in pebble content, are the common thread in the high quality winemaking potential here.
This is the common hallmark of a place where one has the impression of discovering an unknown and greatly preserved corner of Tuscany.
High Elevations
High elevations provide long days of crisp sunlight and difficult growing conditions create concentration and character. This gives our wines tremendous density and lively aromas.
Coastal Influence
Coastal influence brings in cooling maritime winds and dense fog in the vineyard allowing the fruit to maintain balance and elegance while imparting a distinct coastal salinity in the wine.
Autochthonous Varieties
We aim to be ambassadors for local, autochthonous varieties such as Ciliegiolo, Sangiovese, Vermentino, and restore an almost lost variety, Canaiolo Bianco. Two travelers, Merlot and Petit Manseng are also part of the team.
Driven by the principles of organic and biodynamic viticulture, we believe in harmony and balance between each element to create a pure expression of this unique terroir.
Biodynamic Farm
Work with the elements, rather than control them
As a biodynamic farm, the balance between the different elements of the estate is fundamental.
Cows, donkeys, and horses roam freely, grazing in our vineyards, and producing the manure we use for our preparation 500.
All Natural
We believe nature knows best and that the less we interfere, the more the authentic voice of the land is allowed to emerge.
Using cover-crops as green fertilizers, preparations of different extracts of plants, honey and propolis, together with a work in rhythm with the cycles of the moon, stars and sun, is the most natural way to showcase the purity of the fruit.
